Darity Wesler has an article about how Mortgage Brokers can provide security for there clients. As I’ve noted before, mortgage brokers are ripe for the picking to the typical credit thief. Considering that everything needed to steal ones identity is enclosed in a LOS file, and that the typical broker doesn’t even password protect their computer, it’s a wonder this situation hasn’t already been exploited. Continued inaction in this matter is going to open brokers up to a huge amount of liability. So, check out this story and then ask yourself what you’re doing to protect your clients.
