Md. high court upholds state limits on loan fees

When I read this headline, my reaction was that the Maryland court must be showing their anti-business stripes again. Then I read how much Savings First charged this guy, and that they did it twice. It’s no wonder that our Industry faces increased regulation with companies like Savings First representing us.
“Savings First had obtained a $140,250 refinance loan in August 2000 for Sweeney and charged $8,427 for brokering the loan, according to court documents.”
