About a year ago, I was playing with some free internet forum software, and decided to throw a broker forum up on mariah.com. Well, putting up the forum was easy, but maintaining it is a whole different story. I just don’t have time. I closed this section of my web site down today, but for those of you looking for a place to swap ideas with other mortgage professionals, I have two excellent locations for you to check out.
Broker Outpost started a couple years ago, and has thousands of members. I’ve been posting there for almost as long as it has been open. The training section is a pretty food place for new loan officers to get started.
Mortgage Broker Land has a lively forum as well. They also offer a blog on their homepage that’s always full of good advice.
The latest posts from both of these forums are also updated dynamically on my mortgage bookmarks tool for Firefox uses. This allows you to check out recent posts titles from either forum, before you even log in to visit. This tool is free! Check it out.
