Google claims to be “a strong believer in the self-publishing phenomenon represented by blogging,” and in response, they have created Google Blog Search. Whereas Google itself is an index of the entire web, Google Blog Search is an index of what people are talking about, continually updated. Whether you’re looking for political commentary, mortgage comments on certain topics or scuttlebutt, Google Blog Search can help you find it. The goal of Google Blog Search is to include every blog that publishes a site feed.
One reason to use Blog Search instead of a traditional Google search occurs if you are interested in what people are saying about a particular topic — regular people, not journalists or pundits. Blog Search is also good to use if you have something you want to say on a particular topic. If you read a news article and you have something burning inside you that needs to get out, jump over to Blog Search and find a blog on the topic at hand so that you can say what needs to be said. If you read a post on Lenderama and want to get more information on a particular post topic, use Blog Search to see what other real estate blogs have to say on the same subject.

I use Google blog search all the time. However, allow me to pump my own product by suggesting that if you want see what other real estate blogs have to say about a particular subject, REMBEX is an even better choice.
I built it because both Google and Technorati were infected with to many spam blogs, or blogs that really didn’t have anything to to do with real estate.
I use Google blog search, too, but you’re right, Todd, there’s so much spam to scroll through.
Tip for those who are new to the search, you can switch the search parameters to date or relevance by using the links in the top right of the screen.
If it’s a new issue, I want to see the most recent posts and sort by date.
