Lot’s of talk about blogging here this week. I don’t want our readers to think it’s the only thing we’re ever going to talk about, but I have more to say, so bear with me.
I beleive creating a blog can be one of the most effective and affordable ways to market in our current environment. They’re an ideal way to build your reputation, prove you’re an expert, and draw traffic from the search engines. On top of that, they don’t require a huge outlay of capital to get them up to speed. They mostly cost you time. So the key to being an effective blogger is in knowing how to use that time wisely.
If you’re interested in learning more about how to start and effectively manage a blog, I invite you to tune into a free conference call I doing for The Ibis Group:
Using Social Media to Meet Real Estate Agents and Grow Referral Networks
- Leverage blogs to create real-world relationships with real estate agents.
- Use blogs to establish credibility in your market.
- Effectively use social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Active Rain to generate more business.
You’re invited to join our free phone seminar on Wednesday, June 11th at 9:30 AM Pacific.
Space is limited to 500 callers. To ensure a place, call in a few minutes early. To listen, dial 218-486-1400.

Or, maybe you already know what a blog is, have a blog, and want to make your new media marketing effort more effective. I’m co-organizing what I believe will be the premier event for real estate and mortgage professionals who want to take new media marketing to the next level. RE BlogWorld is a co-located conference at BlogWorld & New Media Expo on September 19th through the 21st at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
By registering for RE BlogWorld, you get full access to BlogWorld on the 20th & 21st, PLUS a full day of Real Estate/Mortgage Specific content on the 19th. This is the largest new media conference and trade show in the world, with about 70 seminars to choose from.
We’re still lining up our speakers and content, but here’s a tentative list of participants at RE BlogWorld
Dan Green, The Mortgage Reports
Morgan Brown, Blown Mortgage & Turn Here
Mike Mueller, Mike’s Mortgage Minute
George Favvas, Smart Hippo
Jeff Corbett, The X-Broker
Teresa Boardman, St Paul Real Estate Blog
Mariana Wagner, Colorado Springs Real Estate Connection
Dustin Luther, Rain City Guide & 4Realz
Jeff Turner, Real Estate Shows
Mike Price, ML Broadcast
Daniel Rothamel, The Real Estate Zebra
Kelley Koehler, The House Chick
Rich Jacobson, SoundBite Blog & Active Rain
Dave Smith, Real Estate Blog Lab
Matt Fagioli, Diamond Dwellings
Jim Duncan, Real Central VA
Jan Obrien, Real Estate Coach
My Partner, Jason Berman, and, myself. There’s a few more are still to come, all wrapped up into twelve power packed seminars to choose from.
Don’t let the “RE” in RE BlogWorld mislead you. This conference is being organized by two mortgage professionals. Our content will be relevant to loan originators. We’re doubly excited to have Dan Green aboard, who IMO, is the best mortgage blogger there is. He’s certainly not a token addition made solely to avoid snubbing the fine contributors at Bloodhound Blog.
If you’re planning to travel to just one conference this year, ask yourself who will be delivering you the most unique content? Who will show you how to empower yourself instead of selling you a system? Who wants you to come to Vegas and party? We know you’ll do it for all the right reasons.
Early Bird Registration ends in just two weeks. If you want to save $200 over the door price, now is the time to act.
