Matthew Bowe joins Lenderama

I started blogging three and a half years ago. At the time, Alex Stenback had a great retail mortgage blog, and Dan Green was quickly getting under way. There were a few others, but for the most part, Mortgage Blogging was a pretty lonely forest. From the B2B side of things, nobody was doing a mortgage blog. I looked to the tech & political bloggers of the day for guidance.

Then one day I found Matthew Bowe’s blog. Matt was a loan originator with a technical background that used his blog to review products for other loan originators. It was a GREAT blog.

mattbowe.jpgAs cool as it was to see another B2B Mortgage Blogger out there, the icing on the cake was that he lives right here in Denver. Over some BBQ, Matt and I discussed the future of blogs, social networks and how blogs like ours could grow and work together. Much of what’s on the table at lenderama and planned for the near future came out of that conversation. The idea for a conference like REBlogWorld gestated over slow cooked pork that afternoon.

Matthew discontinued his blog after taking a management/product  development position at Mortgage Coach. I’ll let him talk about his roll there in more detail, and about some of the products that came out of it.

Now, Matt is moving on. He’s got some interesting plans for the future, and best of all, wants to start writing again! He’ll be sharing his thoughts on mortgage technology right here on lenderama.

Welcome back Matt!
